Each of our cottages here at Coconuts on Gili Air enjoys its own privacy, nestled among the flowers and trees of the gardens. The colourful Bougainvillea and Hibiscus, Flame trees and Tea trees and the beautifully perfumed Frangipani and Jasmine flowers all contribute to the magical experience of your stay with us.
Over the years Coconuts cottages has evolved slowly which means that each of our cottages have been built in different styles, which makes for a nice village atmosphere. All have been constructed by local builders with local materials to Kamils design. We have both air-conditioned or fan cooled cottages and all come with mosquito nets, sheeted bedding and towels. Each cottage has its own veranda equipped with a comfortable bamboo couch and the essential hammock.
The cottages -
Jasmine cottages
These are air -conditioned cottages, with a fan option, and are elevated for you to enjoy your views over the gardens. These comfortable rooms are built in traditional style made from bamboo, hard woods and stone with Javanese terracotta roof tiles. Inside includes a king size bed with reading light and mosquito net. The en suite washroom has a hot water shower, a flush toilet and a wash hand basin.
High Season – Rp500.000 per night per cottage
Low Season – Rp350.000 per night per cottage
Shamballa Cottage
This is our newest addition at Coconut, ideal for either 2 or 3 people sharing.
A larger cottage, elevated above the garden, comprising of an air conditioned bedroom with one king size bed and one single bed complete with mosquito nets and reading lights. The shower room, lined with river rock and open to the sunny skies is complete with hot water shower and wash hand basin and flush toilet.
High Season – Rp600.000 per night per cottage
Low Season – Rp450.000 per night per cottage
Hibiscus cottages
Typical island cottages made from hard woods, lined with bamboo, featuring alang alang grass roofs, also elevated for lovely outlook and privacy. Inside, the rooms are fan cooled and include a king sized bed with reading light and mosquito net. Also featuring an en suite washroom with, flush toilet, wash hand basin and a hot water shower area which is open to the skies.
High Season – Rp400.000 per night per cottage
Low Season – Rp275.000 per night per cottage
Terms -
All rates include breakfast and 10% government tax.
Rates are based on two people sharing a cottage, for an extra third person sharing there is an additional charge of Rp100.000 per night for bed and breakfast.
Check-out time is 10am and check-In time is 11am.
High Season definition -
July 01 - September 15 & December 15 - January 05
Low Season definition -
January 06 - June 30 & September 16 to December 14
Frangipani Restaurant -
While the whole eating experience on Gili Air is a delight with many restaurants located at the waters edge it’s also nice to retreat to the pretty setting of our Frangipani Restaurant, so called because of the abundance of frangipani that grow around the garden. Sitting on your own private beruga (little platform) amidst the chirruping birds and noisy ghekos, vegetarians and carnivores alike can enjoy a variety of foods.
We can offer you Indonesian and local food such as freshly grilled fish, ayam pelecing, gado gado, tempe, tahu, nasi goreng, chicken and vegetable curries all freshly prepared and flavoured, hot or not, as you like it, with tasty spices, tamarind or coconut milk.
